Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elo Arethan (ranked 4306 p4p, 4288 weight class) and Tyrei Cornrow (ranked 186 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elo Arethan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyrei Cornrow! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Alyssa Summers and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cornrow scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Cornrow works over Arethan's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Elo Arethan has been cut. Cornrow throws a head kick that half lands.
Cornrow feints a jab promting Arethan to slip. Cornrow then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Arethan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Cornrow lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cornrow instigates a clinch. Cornrow pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Cornrow lands a slapping body shot.
Cornrow bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cornrow in side control lands a decent elbow. Arethan tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cornrow wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cornrow cracks Arethan with a big right hand but Arethan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Cornrow postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's one minute gone in the round. Arethan tries to get to full guard but Cornrow has control of the leg. Arethan is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cornrow pulls his head out easily. That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Arethan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cornrow gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Cornrow is sitting in close to Arethan's body. Arethan has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cornrow is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cornrow is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Arethan.
