Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dominick Bess (ranked 4069 p4p, 3647 weight class) and Twig Coleman (ranked 319 p4p, 298 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dominick Bess!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twig Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bess scores with a one two! Coleman had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Coleman drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bess will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bess wants to stand up but Coleman is controlling him.
Coleman controls from within his opponent's guard.
Coleman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Coleman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bess's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bess on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bess tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bess tries to kick Coleman off but Coleman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Bess throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Coleman looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Coleman shoots in for a takedown but Bess shows good takedown defense.

Bess pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Coleman back to the cage. Bess follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Bess seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

As Bess backs off Coleman throws a huge counter combo but Bess manages to avoid it all.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bess lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coleman circles away quickly and effectively.

Bess gets caught flat footed, as Coleman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bess can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Coleman controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've been informed that Coleman has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Bess wants to get back to his feet but Coleman is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Coleman is taking a breather. Bess says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Bess really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Coleman is continuing to stall.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Coleman closes the distance and clinches up with Bess, looking for a takedown. Coleman pushes Bess against the cage but Bess circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Coleman dives in for a single leg takedown but Bess sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Coleman shoots in looking for a takedown but Bess manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Coleman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Coleman darts in looking for a takedown but Bess gets double underhooks and turns Coleman into the cage.
Bess was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bess throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Coleman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Coleman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bess swivels and escapes.
Bess throws a right and a left that both miss.

Coleman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Bess sneaks out the side door and pushes Coleman away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Coleman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bess tries to avoid it but Coleman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bess to the ground. Bess escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

It looked like Bess was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Twig Coleman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Coleman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bess's face.
Dominick Bess is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bess knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Coleman on the ground.
Coleman lands a heavy elbow.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bess, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
