Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kyung Ho Kang (ranked 5359 p4p, 4466 weight class) and Kuma Tamashii (ranked 309 p4p, 278 weight class). Kang comes to the cage accompanied by Better Than Yesterday . Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyung Ho Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kuma Tamashii!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamashii misses with a takedown
and Kang counters with a left and a right that stings Tamashii.
Kang gets a clinch.
Kang has clasped his hands together around Tamashii's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Kang is staying tight to Tamashii's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Tamashii can't do much from the bottom here.
Tamashii is looking for a sweep.
Tamashii is trying to control Kang's posture but Kang avoids it.
Kang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tamashii keeps working.

Kang decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tamashii to his feet.
Kang shoots in for a takedown but Tamashii shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Kang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tamashii's guard.

Kang slaps away a takedown attempt from Tamashii, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Kyung Ho Kang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kuma Tamashii.

Kyung Ho Kang dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kang darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kang is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Tamashii can do to turn this around?
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kang is defended easily by Tamashii.
Kuma Tamashii seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tamashii tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kang defends well and Tamashii ends up having to push Kang into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Tamashii is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kang throws a leg kick which misses Tamashii's front leg but catches the back leg as Tamashii tries to avoid it.
Kang looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kang closes the distance and clinches up with Tamashii, looking for a takedown. Kang pushes Tamashii against the cage but Tamashii circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Kang counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tamashii won't be happy with that.

Kang decides to stand back up. Kang steps back and let's Tamashii get back to his feet.
Tamashii lands with a thumping leg kick.
Tamashii fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tamashii goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Kang pushes Tamashii up against the cage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Tamashii wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kang misses with a takedown attempt - Tamashii sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kyung Ho Kang. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kang lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Kang decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tamashii's guard.

Kang drops back looking for a leg! Tamashii is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tamashii manages to kick Kang off! Kang jumps back into Tamashii's guard.

Kyung Ho Kang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kang working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Tamashii moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Kang drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tamashii dives on top into guard.
Tamashii wants to control from the top but Kang keeps moving.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tamashii throws a sloppy strike and Kang has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Tamashii is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Kang!
