The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws a leg kick that misses.
Jones looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Jones fails to land the takedown.
Despite the aggression on Mantzurin's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Jones has Mantzurin up against the cage in a clinch.
Jones misses with an elbow over the top.
Jones has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mantzurin avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Mantzurin lands a body punch in the clinch.
Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Jones is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mantzurin is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jones to the mat. Jones regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mantzurin sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jones's guard.
Jones is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Mantzurin thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.

Mantzurin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jones has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mantzurin has managed to get both his arms back between Jones's legs - danger averted.
