Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Billy Oehman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Takeshi Murata!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murata stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Oehman.
Murata slips under a jab from Oehman.
Murata drives through and clinches with Oehman against the cage.
Oehman misses with a punch to the body.
A right hook to the body lands for Murata.
Oehman throws a head punch that misses.
Oehman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Oehman is trying to force a seperation but Murata has the dominant position.
Murata's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Billy Oehman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Oehman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

and Murata counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Oehman!
Oehman is trying to control Murata's posture but Murata avoids it.
Murata misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Murata wants to stand but Oehman has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

You can see the frustration on Oehman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Oehman will probably get the nod.

Murata remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Murata shoots in looking for a takedown but Oehman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Murata's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Murata changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oehman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Murata creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Oehman sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Murata wants to take his opponent's back but Oehman doesn't allow it.

Oehman throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Oehman.

Murata lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Oehman throws a solid leg kick but Murata takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Oehman.
Murata closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Oehman's guard.
