Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Imperial Washington (ranked 22 p4p, 164 weight class) and Douglas Sampson (ranked 4 p4p, 24 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Sampson's choice of entrance music: Sunshine (ft. Anthony Hamilton) - Twista . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 26 - 15 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Imperial Washington! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Sampson! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Washington with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Washington scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Washington throws a leg kick which misses Sampson's front leg but catches the back leg as Sampson tries to avoid it. Sampson checks a leg kick. A little jabbing left from Sampson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Washington misses with a leg kick and Sampson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Sampson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Imperial Washington seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Washington walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Washington lands a head shot. Washington misses the shot to the body. Sampson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Washington defending well as Sampson loads up on a big left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sampson moves away from the strike by Washington. A combination from Sampson does no damage. Sampson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Washington moves away. Washington avoids a kick to the body.
Washington appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Sampson swats away the attempt to clinch by Washington. Washington throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Sampson on the side of the head. Sampson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Sampson digs a good body shot into Washington's ribs. Washington closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sampson throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Sampson goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Washington escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Washington looks for the body kick but Sampson saw that one coming. A jab lands there for Washington. Washington throws a body shot but no joy. Nice uppercut there from Washington. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Washington throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sampson. Washington swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sampson throws out a counter right but Washington avoids it with no problem. Washington misses with a body punch
and Sampson counters with a stiff right hand. Washington throws a nice head kick!
Sampson misses with a looping left.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Washington throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sampson counters with a stiff right hand. Washington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sampson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sampson avoids a kick to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Washington. Sampson does a little dance to reset his feet. Sampson tries to land a front kick but Washington steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Washington misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

It looks like Imperial Washington has been cut. Sampson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Sampson rushes Washington and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Washington tries to work over Sampson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Sampson lands with a light punch inside. Washington trying to land knees to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Sampson lands an uppercut. Washington trying to land knees to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sampson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Washington is rocked! Sampson works on Washington's body with a couple of short punches. Washington is breathing heavily. Washington blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Sampson throws a punch but it's blocked by Washington. Sampson misses with a body punch.

Washington is looking to control Sampson's arms but Sampson gets an underhook and turns him. Now Washington has his back to the cage. Sampson misses with a hook to the ribs.

Sampson lands with a short shot to the head. Sampson lands a nice uppercut. Sampson lands a nice uppercut. Oh Washington is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sampson lands a big right hand that drops Washington! The killer instinct kicks in and Sampson finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Sampson!

A very excited looking Douglas Sampson made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
