Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Telegin (ranked 3892 p4p, 4038 weight class) and Maksud Magomedov (ranked 169 p4p, 179 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Magomedov's choice of entrance music: Lezginka - Kavkaz. Maksud Magomedov has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sergey Telegin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergey Telegin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maksud Magomedov!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Damien Edna and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magomedov throws a lazy right hand but Telegin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Telegin looking to score a takedown here. Magomedov is defending well but Telegin drives through and ends up in Magomedov's guard.
Telegin won't allow Magomedov to get back to his feet.
Telegin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Magomedov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Magomedov wants to get back to his feet but Telegin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Telegin has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

and Magomedov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Telegin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Telegin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Telegin tries to move to mount but Magomedov blocks the move with his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Telegin is looking to take a break and control but Magomedov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Magomedov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Telegin asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Magomedov parries the strikes from Telegin easily there. Telegin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Magomedov to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Magomedov seems a little lost for a moment, as Telegin dominates the positioning.
Telegin is trying to get an arm triangle but Magomedov is defending well.
Magomedov is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Telegin has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Telegin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Magomedov lands a left and a right that send Telegin crashing to the mat, dazed. Magomedov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Sergey Telegin has been cut.

Telegin moves away from the strike by Magomedov.
Magomedov throws a body shot but no joy.
Telegin darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Maksud Magomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Telegin shoots in and gets a takedown into Magomedov's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Magomedov dives in and grabs Telegin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Telegin pushes down on Magomedov's head and hops out.

Telegin has his foot on Magomedov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Magomedov works his way back into a safe position though.
Magomedov wanted to stand there but Telegin had control of the position.
Telegin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Magomedov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Magomedov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Maksud Magomedov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

It looked like Telegin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Telegin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Magomedov connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Telegin momentarily.
Magomedov cracks Telegin with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Telegin tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Magomedov pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Telegin is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maksud Magomedov!
Maksud Magomedov seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
