This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 46 wins and 26 losses; Shane MacGowan! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 19 losses; Jacque Joteel!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
MacGowan dives in for a single leg takedown but Joteel sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the ropes.
MacGowan has Joteel pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Joteel manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Joteel gets control of MacGowan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Joteel will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

MacGowan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

MacGowan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

MacGowan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Joteel swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Joteel bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in MacGowan's guard.

MacGowan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Joteel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Joteel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
