Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Herbert Baine (ranked 3052 p4p, 3039 weight class) and Harvey Cooper (ranked 449 p4p, 443 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Herbert Baine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harvey Cooper! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baine shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Cooper sprawls well. Cooper wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Baine gets slowly back to his feet. Cooper shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baine's guard. Cooper trying to control but Baine is working from the bottom. Baine is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cooper would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Baine is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cooper gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Cooper gets a double leg takedown into Baine's guard. Baine is looking to stand up but Cooper isn't so interested in that idea. Baine looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cooper is one step ahead there. Cooper stands up from Baine's guard - Cooper perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baine tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Baine fails with a takedown attempt. Cooper manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baine on his heels. He'll look to pass Baine's guard now, I'm sure. Cooper trying to stand up but can't free himself from Baine's guard. Baine is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Cooper has his hands clasped together but Baine extends and breaks Cooper's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Baine.
