Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Dugan (ranked 3025 p4p, 3026 weight class) and Quincy Featherstone (ranked 441 p4p, 439 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Featherstone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dugan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Featherstone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Featherstone drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Dugan kicks Featherstone off and gets to his feet.
Dugan shoots in looking for a takedown but Featherstone manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dugan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Featherstone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dugan was covering up waiting for the punch and Featherstone finishes the takedown easily into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Featherstone accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Featherstone fails with the takedown.
Dugan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Featherstone swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Featherstone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dugan is fending him off so far but Featherstone persists. Nope, Dugan circles away and we're back to standing.
Dugan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Featherstone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dugan somewhat.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dugan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Featherstone's waist but Featherstone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dugan off to one side.
Featherstone shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dugan but Dugan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Featherstone manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dugan on his heels. He'll look to pass Dugan's guard now, I'm sure.

Dugan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Featherstone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Featherstone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dugan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Featherstone lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
