Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Charles Richardson (ranked 4366 p4p, 2914 weight class) and Andrei Stoic (ranked 189 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Richardson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Stoic! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stoic tries to clinch but fails miserably and Richardson counters with a takedown into side control. Richardson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Richardson is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Stoic will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Richardson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richardson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Richardson works to advance to full mount. Stoic defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Richardson dominating with strikes here. Richardson has control of Stoic's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Stoic regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Stoic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richardson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Richardson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Richardson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Stoic tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Charles Richardson dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Stoic tries to clinch up. Richardson moves out of range of the body kick. Richardson clinches up against the cage. Stoic tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Richardson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Stoic is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Richardson to the mat. Richardson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Richardson has his feet on Stoic's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fight moves into the clinch position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Richardson pulls guard successfully.

Richardson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stoic is controlling him. Stoic looking to pass the guard. Stoic postures up.

Richardson controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Stoic keeping full guard, as Richardson tries to pass. Richardson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Richardson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Stoic seems keen to control Richardson's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson wants to stand but Stoic has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Richardson stopping the sweep attempt from Stoic. Richardson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Stoic working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Richardson has passed into half guard!
Stoic is breathing heavily. Richardson slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Stoic is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Richardson scores with a couple of nice shots. Richardson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Stoic doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Richardson. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Richardson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Richardson defending well as Stoic loads up on a big left hand. Stoic fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Stoic tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Richardson tries to counter with a takedown but Stoic is quick to defend against it. Richardson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Stoic was covering up waiting for the punch and Richardson finishes the takedown easily into guard. Richardson is stalling in the full guard. Stoic looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Some wild striking there from Stoic.
Stoic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Richardson rushes Stoic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Richardson stalling the fight.
Stoic wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Stoic is trying to pull guard but Richardson has him pressed against the cage. Richardson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Stoic can't fight it off and eventually Richardson manages to take the fight to the floor. Stoic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Richardson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Richardson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Richardson forces his way into half guard. Richardson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Richardson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Stoic hang on? Richardson controlling the pace for now. Stoic tries to lock up and control but Richardson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Richardson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Richardson unloading with bombs! The referee warns Stoic that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Richardson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. The referee warns Stoic that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Andrei Stoic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Charles Richardson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Richardson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Stoic looks a forlorn figure.
And that's the end of the fight! Charles Richardson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Richardson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
