Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bang Bangveana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Josiah Laughlin!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laughlin ducks right into an uppercut from Bangveana.
Bangveana misses with a straight right.
Laughlin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bangveana.
Laughlin misses with a combination

and Bangveana counters by clinching up.

Bangveana breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bangveana misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Laughlin.
Bangveana throws a lazy uppercut
and Laughlin counters with a two punch combo.
Bangveana misses with a hook
and Laughlin counters with a three punch combo that has Bangveana backing up. Bangveana nods at Laughlin to acknowledge the strikes.

Laughlin slips under a jab from Bangveana.
Laughlin tries to move into range but Bangveana moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Laughlin lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Laughlin.
No joy there for Bangveana, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As Bangveana backs off Laughlin throws a huge counter combo but Bangveana manages to avoid it all.
A left lands for Bangveana.
Laughlin misses with a double jab

and Bangveana holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Laughlin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Bangveana breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Laughlin misses with a two punch combination.

Bangveana drops Laughlin with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Laughlin looks back up at him and smiles so Bangveana waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Laughlin is rocked!

It looks like Josiah Laughlin has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bangveana sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Laughlin's defenses. It connects perfectly with Laughlin's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bang Bangveana!
After the fight, Bang Bangveana was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
