Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Baribeau (ranked 4329 p4p, 4355 weight class) and Will Capalot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baribeau tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Capalot manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Anthony Baribeau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Baribeau uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Capalot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baribeau loads up on a big right hand but Capalot slips the punch.
Capalot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Capalot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
It looked like Baribeau was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Baribeau is trying to break the clinch but Capalot is controlling him.

Capalot lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Capalot tries a head kick but it misses.
Baribeau jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Baribeau forces Capalot back against the cage and clinches.
Capalot is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Baribeau can't fight it off and eventually Capalot manages to take the fight to the floor. Baribeau looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Baribeau knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Capalot on the ground.

Baribeau is in a horrible position here. Capalot smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Capalot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Capalot cracks Baribeau with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Capalot looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Baribeau covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
