Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Baribeau (ranked 4329 p4p, 4355 weight class) and Will Capalot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Baribeau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Capalot! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baribeau tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Capalot manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Capalot circles away from the clinch attempt.
Capalot throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Anthony Baribeau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jab from Baribeau. Baribeau uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Capalot throws a nice head kick!
Capalot will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Baribeau loads up on a big right hand but Capalot slips the punch. Capalot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Capalot steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Baribeau. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice defenses there by Capalot. Baribeau throws a hook but Capalot blocks it. Capalot fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. It looked like Baribeau was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baribeau throws a hook but Capalot blocks it. Capalot tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Baribeau manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Capalot takes a jab right on the kisser.

Baribeau swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Capalot shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baribeau pinned against the cage. Baribeau gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. It looked like Baribeau wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Baribeau throws a body shot but no joy. A looping hook to the body misses from Baribeau. Capalot does a little dance to reset his feet. Capalot defending well as Baribeau loads up on a big left hand. Baribeau throws out a loose jab but Capalot uses good head movement to avoid it. Capalot throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Baribeau sees it coming and avoids it easily. Baribeau swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baribeau misses with an uppercut. Capalot gets a clinch. Baribeau is trying to break the clinch but Capalot is controlling him. Baribeau wants to break free but Capalot has control.

Capalot throws a counter combo. Baribeau throws a looping overhand right but Capalot ducks down to avoid it. Baribeau swings for the body but Capalot moves out of range.
Capalot lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Capalot tries a head kick but it misses.
Baribeau jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Baribeau forces Capalot back against the cage and clinches. Capalot is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Baribeau can't fight it off and eventually Capalot manages to take the fight to the floor. Baribeau looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Capalot slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Capalot landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Baribeau knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Capalot on the ground. Capalot frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Capalot landing shots from mount. Capalot controlling from the full mount. Baribeau taking shots to the head. Capalot connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Baribeau is in a horrible position here. Capalot smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Capalot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Capalot cracks Baribeau with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Capalot with the ground and pound from mount.
Baribeau is rocked! Baribeau taking shots to the head. Oh Baribeau is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Capalot landing shots from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Capalot looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Baribeau covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
