Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Rocha (ranked 5524 p4p, 4563 weight class) and Ray Cartier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose Rocha has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Rocha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Cartier!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartier uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rocha.
And Cartier tries to counter it with a takedown but Rocha pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Rocha has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cartier can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cartier seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Cartier might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
