Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kalam Mekhar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Misaki Suzuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mekhar comes to the cage accompanied by 80 Kidz - Alt A. Misaki Suzuki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kalam Mekhar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Misaki Suzuki! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suzuki shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mekhar defends it nicely. Suzuki scores a takedown into full mount! Suzuki controlling from mount. Mekhar is trying to stand up. Suzuki pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Suzuki is going olschool here, as he tries to force Mekhar to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mekhar shrugs it off. Mekhar is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mekhar is trying to stand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mekhar is desperately trying to improve his position but Suzuki has a good base and remains in mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mekhar is trying to stand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mekhar tries to lock up and control but Suzuki gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Suzuki working for a guillotine from mount but Mekhar is in no mood to give up. That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Suzuki throws a strike aimed at the side of Mekhar's head but Mekhar avoids it well. Mekhar is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Suzuki's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Still in half guard, Suzuki seems content to control. Mekhar is not content to let Suzuki control the position. Suzuki missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Suzuki is stalling here. Mekhar is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Suzuki seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mekhar has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Mekhar has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Suzuki! Suzuki wants to hold on but Mekhar pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mekhar forces the positional change into back control. Suzuki breaks Mekhar's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Suzuki trying to control but Mekhar is working from the bottom. Suzuki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mekhar looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mekhar looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mekhar! Suzuki is trying to control Mekhar's posture but Mekhar avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Suzuki manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Suzuki is looking for a sweep. Mekhar is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Suzuki works his way to full guard. Good work. Suzuki looking to control.
Suzuki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mekhar is aware though and is defending well. Suzuki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mekhar gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Suzuki looks gassed! Mekhar stands up and waves to Suzuki to follow him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Misaki Suzuki will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Mekhar swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Decent striking displayed by Mekhar there. No luck for Suzuki with that takedown attempt. Mekhar cracks Suzuki with an open hand slap. Suzuki misses with a takedown attempt - Mekhar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mekhar throws a right and a left that both miss. Suzuki is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mekhar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Kalam Mekhar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Misaki Suzuki. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mekhar as he avoids it easily. Mekhar's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Mekhar duly obliges.
It looks like Misaki Suzuki has been cut. Mekhar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Suzuki at a distance.

Nice sprawl there from Mekhar as Suzuki shoots in. Suzuki doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Suzuki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mekhar scores with a jab to the body. Mekhar looks to land a combination but Suzuki avoids it well. Mekhar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Suzuki. Mekhar throws a series of strikes that have Suzuki backpedaling.
Suzuki shoots for a takedown but Mekhar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mekhar lands with a shot to the body. Kalam Mekhar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown but Mekhar shows good takedown defense. Mekhar works Suzuki's body with a nice hook. Mekhar scores with a crisp jab that stopped Suzuki in his tracks. Suzuki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mekhar circles away. Suzuki dodges the punch combination from Mekhar.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Mekhar throws a hook but Suzuki blocks it. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mekhar as he jumps to the side. Suzuki fails with a takedown attempt. Mekhar thuds his right hand into Suzuki's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mekhar but Mekhar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mekhar moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Suzuki closes the distance and clinches up with Mekhar, looking for a takedown. Suzuki pushes Mekhar against the cage but Mekhar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Mekhar lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nice straight punches there by Mekhar. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Mekhar. Suzuki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Suzuki lands in his opponent's guard. Suzuki wants to control from the top but Mekhar keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Suzuki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Suzuki advances to half guard. Mekhar is defending against the submission attempts here by Suzuki.
Mekhar is refusing to be controlled, as Suzuki sits in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Suzuki stops Mekhar from getting back to his feet.

Kalam Mekhar dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Misaki Suzuki's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Mekhar displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Suzuki. Kalam Mekhar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mekhar throws a right hand that Suzuki ducks under and follows up with a left that Suzuki also avoids with ease. Suzuki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mekhar as he avoids it easily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mekhar with a nice cross. Mekhar lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Mekhar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Suzuki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mekhar avoids it really well and circles away. Mekhar scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mekhar connects with a single shot there. Suzuki ducks under a wild hook from Mekhar. Suzuki shoots in and bounces Mekhar off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Suzuki looking to pass the guard. Mekhar looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Suzuki passes into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Suzuki tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Suzuki working away. Suzuki is trying to get an arm triangle but Mekhar is defending well. Mekhar is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Suzuki is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suzuki advances nicely into full mount. Suzuki punishing his opponent with strikes. Suzuki raining down shots from the mount! Suzuki can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mekhar is looking to escape. Suzuki putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Mekhar is squirming around, avoiding Suzuki's attempts to control the action. Suzuki sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that's the end of the fight! Misaki Suzuki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Suzuki has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
