Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Diaz (ranked 3849 p4p, 3291 weight class) and Alfonzo Caramacho (ranked 436 p4p, 383 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alfonzo Caramacho! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Caramacho moves into range and clinches up with Diaz. Caramacho is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. A left hand lands to the body for Caramacho.
Caramacho prevents Diaz from breaking the clinch. Diaz is trying to break the clinch but Caramacho has him pressed against the cage. Caramacho tries a body shot but Diaz blocks it.
Diaz being controlled against the cage. Diaz is trying to break free. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz has had enough of the clinch but Caramacho keeps him there for the moment. Caramacho breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Caramacho looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Caramacho missing with a left hand there. Diaz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A counter left hand to the body from Diaz misses its target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caramacho lands a jab to Diaz's midsection. Caramacho throws a right and a left that Diaz avoids nicely. Nice cross by Caramacho. Caramacho falls off balance throwing a combination
and Diaz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caramacho shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Diaz counters with a nice body shot. Alfonzo Caramacho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Caramacho looks to score with a jab to the body but Diaz is just out of range. Caramacho is looking to clinch. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Diaz slips under a jab. Diaz swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Caramacho finds it's way through Diaz's defenses. Caramacho throws a hook to the side of Diaz's head but Diaz sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Diaz moves out of range of the strikes. Caramacho connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Caramacho gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Caramacho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Caramacho is looking to clinch but Diaz is avoiding it.

Diaz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Nice defenses there by Diaz. Diaz appears to be looking for a big counter. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Caramacho throws a body punch but Diaz moves out of range. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz throws a counter high kick but Caramacho was just alert enough to avoid it. Caramacho tries to close the distance and clinch but Diaz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caramacho with a body punch. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Caramacho throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Caramacho looks to land a combination but Diaz avoids it well. Diaz is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Caramacho jabs Diaz to the body, keeping him at a distance. Caramacho throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

An attempted straight right counter from Diaz misses the target. Caramacho has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Caramacho scores with a decent looking hook. Diaz takes a body punch but keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Caramacho lunges at Diaz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Diaz's hand. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alfonzo Caramacho showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Caramacho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz. Caramacho misses with a left hand and Diaz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Caramacho lands with a nice body punch. Caramacho throws a hook but Diaz blocks it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caramacho thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's one minute gone in the round. Caramacho rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Caramacho throws a right hand that Diaz ducks under and follows up with a left that Diaz also avoids with ease. Caramacho tries to clinch there but Diaz circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caramacho lands a jab-cross combination. Caramacho tries to close the distance and clinch up but Diaz swats him away and circles back towards the center. It looked like Diaz wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Caramacho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Diaz. It looked like Diaz was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Caramacho. Caramacho is looking to clinch. Diaz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Alfonzo Caramacho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Caramacho scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Caramacho is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Caramacho misses with a wild combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Alfonzo Caramacho comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Caramacho has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
