Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cutter Lune (ranked 2857 p4p, 3283 weight class) and Dong Hyun Kim (ranked 369 p4p, 405 weight class). Kim comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Danza Kuduro kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cutter Lune! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Hyun Kim! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lune throws a front kick that sends Kim stumbling back into the cage. Lune throws a sloppy head kick and Kim moves out of range easily. Lune wants to clinch up but Kim keeps it at a distance. Lune tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lune throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Kim walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lune. Lune tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kim throws a hook but Lune blocks it. A low kick from Kim is predictable there and Lune counters with a thumping low kick. Lune keeps the fight on the outside. Kim throws a sloppy head kick and Lune counters with a body kick that stops Kim in his tracks momentarily. Kim on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Lune rushes Kim and presses him up against the cage. Our sources have told us that Lune has been working on his elbows in the gym. Lune gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kim.
Kim goes for a takedown in the clinch but Lune prevents it.

Lune tries to get to full guard but Kim has control of the leg. Kim is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lune has managed to free his arm - good work. Lune is looking for a sweep. Kim is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Lune gets back to full guard.
Kim slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Lune escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kim gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kim tries to free his leg and advance position but Lune is retaining full guard. Kim got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lune has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kim has managed to get both his arms back between Lune's legs - danger averted. Lune looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Cutter Lune dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dong Hyun Kim's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Lune lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kim will feel that in the morning. The crowd cheers as Kim lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lune doesn't seem phased though. Lune with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A head kick from Lune lands but Kim takes it in his stride. Kim takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Lune - that will leave a mark!
Lune fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Kim misses with a body shot.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lune. Lune blocks a head kick by Kim.
Lune with the inside leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lune connects with an inside leg kick. Lune staying out of range there. Lune jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit. Kim has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Lune. Lune drives through and clinches with Kim against the cage.
Kim is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lune to keep the fight standing. Kim decides to pull guard. Lune is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kim can do to turn this around?
That's one minute gone in the round. Lune working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dong Hyun Kim has got the better of the ground game so far. Lune wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving. Lune stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kim swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lune drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kim manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Lune has Kim in his guard. Lune is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lune wants to control from the top but Kim keeps moving. Lune postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kim avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kim not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lune is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kim passes into half guard. Kim is looking to take a break and control but Lune is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lune tries to roll over but Kim keeps him under control. Lune is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kim scores with a couple of nice shots. Lune looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cutter Lune dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dong Hyun Kim's cut. That's time! Lune's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round! Kim lands with a good body shot. Lune lands a nice looking body kick. Lune blocks a head kick by Kim.
Lune throws a leg kick which misses Kim's front leg but catches the back leg as Kim tries to avoid it. Kim throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lune counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kim's knee momentarily. Lune throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Jab by Kim. Kim throws a sloppy body shot
and Lune makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kim really felt that one! Lune stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lune wants it to stay on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kim rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lune counters with a nice kick to the body. Kim misses with a hook. Lune thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kim if he has to take too many more of those.
Kim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A telegraphed right hand from Kim misses the target. Lune feinted with a counter takedown. Lune clinches up against the cage. Cutter Lune has scored more points in the clinch so far.

Lune lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Kim is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lune pulls him back up using the underhooks. Lune unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kim tries to score a body lock takedown but Lune shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Cutter Lune has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kim is sitting in close to Lune's body. Lune has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kim is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kim is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lune.
