Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Spacely Sprockets (ranked 5367 p4p, 4386 weight class) and Stefan Dahlin (ranked 523 p4p, 470 weight class). Spacely Sprockets has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Spacely Sprockets! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Stefan Dahlin! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dahlin misses with a head kick.

Sprockets chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Dahlin can pounce on him.
Sprockets closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dahlin avoids a wild elbow strike from Sprockets. Dahlin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A frustrated look appears on Dahlin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dahlin is defending well against a takedown attempt. Dahlin on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Dahlin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dahlin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sprockets. Dahlin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sprockets in particular looking to stall. Dahlin is trying to maintain the position but Sprockets is very close to passing his half guard. Sprockets is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Dahlin. Dahlin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Sprockets clinches. Sprockets lands a nice elbow. Sprockets lands an elbow that stopped Dahlin in his tracks for a moment. Dahlin dodges an elbow strike from Sprockets.

Dahlin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sprockets circles away quickly and effectively. Dahlin takes a swing at Sprockets's ribcage but misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sprockets tried to score with a low kick but Dahlin checks it. Dahlin misses with a straight left. Dahlin throws a head kick but Sprockets moves out of range.

Sprockets closes the distance and pushes Dahlin back into the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sprockets lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sprockets's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Dahlin has had enough of the clinch but Sprockets keeps him there for the moment. Sprockets can't get the takedown.

Dahlin wants to stand but Sprockets has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sprockets is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Dahlin has hold of Sprockets's hands but Sprockets slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Sprockets is figuring out what he wants to do next. Dahlin wants to control the action here but instead Sprockets manages to pass to full mount! Dahlin tries to hold on but Sprockets postures up. Dahlin working to try and regain half guard.

Dahlin is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Sprockets controlling his opponent. Sprockets's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Sprockets avoids the attempt from Dahlin to control. Sprockets controlling from mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dahlin wants to stand but Sprockets has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Sprockets had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dahlin defends it easily. Dahlin being controlled here momentarily.

Dahlin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sprockets swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sprockets manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Dahlin manages to get himself to full guard.
Sprockets controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Further stalling from Sprockets. Sprockets has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Dahlin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sprockets stacks Dahlin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sprockets! Dahlin wants to control but Sprockets postures up. Sprockets is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dahlin's shoulder. That is not cool. Dahlin can't do much from the bottom here. Dahlin tries to buck Sprockets off but Sprockets is having none of it. Sprockets cracks Dahlin with a big right hand but Dahlin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Sprockets working the ground and pound. Spacely Sprockets is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dahlin is letting Sprockets control him for a moment. Sprockets working away. And that's the end of the fight! Spacely Sprockets showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sprockets, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
