Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Obama Filth (ranked 1274 p4p, 1065 weight class) and Dexter Roussel (ranked 160 p4p, 137 weight class). Filth comes into the arena with Beat the Bastards blaring out of the sound system. Roussel has chosen Manau - J'ai laissé là bas as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Obama Filth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dexter Roussel!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filth throws a series of punches but Roussel avoids them all with ease.
Filth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Filth tries to clinch but Roussel moves away

and Roussel counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Filth wants to stand and escape but Roussel is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Roussel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Filth wants to get back to his feet but Roussel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Filth shoots for a takedown but Roussel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Filth gets tackled into the cage by Roussel. Roussel maintains the clinch.

Roussel lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Roussel works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Filth pushes Roussel off and scrambles back to his feet.

Roussel lunges at Filth with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Filth's hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Filth doesn't manage to clinch there - Roussel circles away.
Roussel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Filth was well out of range. Poor timing from Roussel.
Roussel has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Filth is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Roussel connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Roussel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Filth sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Roussel looks to land a right hand but Filth moved out of range.
Roussel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Roussel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Filth won't be happy with that.
Roussel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Roussel misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Roussel lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Oh Filth is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
A big shot lands for Roussel! That's hurt Filth! Will he recover? Roussel fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dexter Roussel!
Dexter Roussel tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
