Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Big Boy (ranked 2171 p4p, 4061 weight class) and Alpha Zero (ranked 118 p4p, 202 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Big Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alpha Zero!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boy closes the distance and clinches.
Boy creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Boy lands with a light punch inside.
Zero is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Boy to keep the fight standing.
Boy scores with a shoulder strike.
Zero is looking to break free of the clinch but Boy has double underhooks.
Boy using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Zero has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zero misses with the head strike.
Boy lands an uppercut.
Boy tries to work over Zero's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Zero goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Boy creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Zero's defenses.

It looks like Alpha Zero has been cut.
Boy tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A shot in the inside from Zero.
Boy lands a body punch in the clinch.
Zero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boy smiles and moves away.
Zero misses with a hook. Boy ducked under it nicely.
Boy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Zero looks to land a left hand but Boy moved out of range nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A swing and a miss from Zero.
Zero throws a jab when Boy was well out of range.
Boy moves out of range of the strikes.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zero throws a hook to the side of Boy's head but Boy sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A combination from Boy does no damage.
Zero takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Boy connects with a jab.
Zero fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boy attempts a counter takedown but Zero avoids it well and moves away.
Zero takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Boy fails with a takedown attempt.
Zero tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Zero misses with a hook.
Boy shoots in for a double leg but Zero sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Zero looks to land a combination. Boy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Big Boy has been cut.
A big right from Boy misses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Boy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Boy takes a jab right on the kisser.
Zero throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Boy is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zero throws a right hand that Boy ducks under and follows up with a left that Boy also avoids with ease.
Boy drops down looking for a counter takedown but Zero sprawls and moves away.

Zero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Zero avoids the elbow strike from Boy, against the cage.
Boy can't find room to land a body shot as Zero controls the action.
Boy scores with a shoulder strike.
Boy lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Zero backwards.
Boy lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Zero blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Boy can't find room to land a body shot as Zero controls the action.
Boy takes a shot to the head.
Zero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Boy smiles and moves away.
Big Boy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alpha Zero.
Boy throws a body shot but no joy.
Zero misses with a lunging right hand

and Boy counters with a nice double leg into guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Boy wants to control from the top but Zero keeps moving.
Boy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Boy seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Zero for as long as he can get away with.
Boy trying to control the position from guard on top but Zero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Boy won't allow Zero to get back to his feet.
Boy trying to control but Zero is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Zero swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Zero throws a series of punches but Boy moves out of range.
Boy ducks under a wild hook from Zero.

Zero fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Boy, pushing him back against the cage.
Zero blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Zero lands a left hand.

Zero manages to pull guard.
Boy sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zero's guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Big Boy will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Boy staying out of range there.
Boy wants to clinch.
Boy fails in his attempt to clinch.
Zero throws a jab when Boy was well out of range.
Boy changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Boy tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zero was well out of range. Poor timing from Boy.
Zero scores with a three punch combo!
Zero on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Boy. Boy obviously looking to wear him down.
Zero throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Zero lands a glancing blow to the side of Boy's head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zero fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Boy on the side of the head.
Boy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Boy lands a nice shot to the body.
Zero rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Boy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Boy counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Zero throws a series of punches but Boy moves out of range.
Zero takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Boy moves into the clinch.
Zero lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Boy backwards.
Zero swings wildly with an uppercut but Boy uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nice body punch from Boy.
Still in the clinch, Boy scores with a nice short uppercut.
Zero goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Boy.
Boy has a couple of punches blocked by Zero.
Boy lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Zero backwards.
Zero has a couple of punches blocked by Boy.
Boy lands a body shot.
Zero is breathing heavily.
Boy throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Zeros head.
Zero throws a punch but it's blocked by Boy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zero tries to pull guard but Boy forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Zero scores with a nice hook to the head.

Boy works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Boy lands with a left to the head.
Boy lands a nice shot to the body.
Nice body punch from Boy - that landed with a thud.
Boy swings wildly with an uppercut but Zero uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boy misses with an elbow over the top.
Boy misses with a short punch on the inside.
Boy lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Boy lands a nice elbow.
Boy works on Zero's body with a couple of short punches.
Boy lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Zero.
A right handed body shot lands from Boy.
Zero blocks an uppercut.
Boy throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Zero misses with some punches.
A short body shot lands from Boy as the two fighters clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Boy has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Zero regains guard immediately.
Zero is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Boy dives into side control.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Check out the look on Boy's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Zero is trying to buck Boy off.
Boy is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Zero will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Boy cracks Zero with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Zero pushes Boy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Boy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Zero is being controlled here.
Boy working the ground and pound.
Boy just content to control the position.
Zero taking a bit of punishment here - Boy scoring with strikes.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Big Boy dominated that second round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Boy cracks Zero with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Zero tries to clinch up.
Boy circles away from the clinch attempt
and Boy counters with a stiff right hand.

Boy lands a big right hand that sends Zero crashing to the mat! Boy stays standing though and waves Zero back to his feet!

Zero is rocked!
Boy staying out of range there.
Zero is still on wobbly legs! Can Boy finish him?
Boy ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Boy uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zero.
Boy finds Zero's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Zero flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Boy lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Zero will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Big Boy!
Big Boy decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
