Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hasbulla Magomedov (ranked 2343 p4p, 3024 weight class) and Mer Lo (ranked 156 p4p, 193 weight class). Magomedov comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones Jr - Can't be Touched. Hasbulla Magomedov had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hasbulla Magomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mer Lo!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lo scores with a hook to the body. Magomedov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Lo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Lo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Magomedov eats them both and turns towards Lo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Lo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Magomedov momentarily.
Lo just misses with a punch to the body.
Lo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magomedov.
As Lo tries to get set, Magomedov tries to push him back and clinch up but Lo manages to avoid the attempt.
Magomedov slips a straight right by Lo.
No luck for Magomedov with that takedown attempt.
Magomedov shoots in but no luck this time.

Magomedov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Magomedov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A slow jab from Lo misses its intended target.
Magomedov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Magomedov somewhat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lo is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Lo bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Magomedov closes the distance and clinches up with Lo, looking for a takedown. Magomedov pushes Lo against the cage but Lo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lo connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Lo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Magomedov's hands.
Lo leaves Magomedov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
