Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazuki Takeda (ranked 1438 p4p, 2250 weight class) and Nikolai Ignatiev (ranked 179 p4p, 272 weight class). Ignatiev has chosen Beats That as his entrance music. Kazuki Takeda has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kazuki Takeda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolai Ignatiev!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takeda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ignatiev to the ground. Takeda is now in Ignatiev's guard.
Ignatiev seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Takeda connects with a couple of short punches.
Takeda not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Ignatiev utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Takeda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ignatiev defends it well.

It looks like Nikolai Ignatiev has been cut.
Takeda thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ignatiev's head.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ignatiev can do anything to dispel that myth.

Ignatiev leaves Takeda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nikolai Ignatiev comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Takeda has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
