Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Botler Benavidez (ranked 4194 p4p, 4366 weight class) and Rusty Codi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benavidez will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Codi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Codi manages to end up in side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Benavidez shoots for a double leg takedown but Codi sprawls well. He's pushed Benavidez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Well Codi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
