Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Allan John Villanil (ranked 2127 p4p, 2812 weight class) and Bruno Dias (ranked 148 p4p, 191 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Allan John Villanil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruno Dias!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Villanil shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dias's guard.
Dias not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Villanil forces his way into half guard.
Dias is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Villanil wants to work for an arm triangle but Dias is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dias is controlling Villanil's trapped leg to prevent Villanil from advancing to side control.
Dias works his way to full guard. Good work.
Dias is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Dias decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Allan John Villanil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Villanil goes for a double leg but Dias avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Dias continues to drive forward.

We've been informed that Dias has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Dias postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Villanil is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dias, into his guard.

Dias wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Villanil is now in half guard.
Villanil stops Dias from getting back to his feet.

Villanil won't allow Dias to sweep him here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Villanil drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Villanil jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Villanil thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bruno Dias will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Villanil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dias pinned against the cage. Dias gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dias pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Villanil shoots for a double leg takedown but Dias sprawls well. He's pushed Villanil's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dias dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Villanil. That did some damage!
Dias keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Dias let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Villanil has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Dias uses from the top position.
