Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Price (ranked 672 p4p, 1930 weight class) and Abraham Andersson (ranked 100 p4p, 288 weight class). Pete Price has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pete Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Abraham Andersson !
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price misses with a hook. Andersson ducked under it nicely.
Price throws a jab when Andersson was well out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Andersson enables Price to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Andersson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Price throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Price looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Price seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Price throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Price is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Price is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Andersson defends well.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Andersson doesn't manage to clinch there - Price circles away.
It looked like Price was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Andersson .

Price shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Price was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Price just content to control the position.
Andersson is looking for a sweep.

Price throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Price looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Andersson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
You can see the frustration on Andersson 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Price is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Andersson can do to turn this around?

Price is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Andersson defends it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Price uses his free foot to push down on Andersson 's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Andersson .
Andersson wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Andersson tries to escape but Price has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Price just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pete Price overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Price is looking to advance position but Andersson won't allow it.
Price thows a huge punch but Andersson dodges it nicely.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Price throws a hook to the side of Andersson 's head but Andersson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Price counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Price takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Andersson blocks a jab.
Price walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Andersson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Andersson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Price connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Andersson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Price takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Price takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Andersson feints a jab promting Price to slip. Andersson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Price slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Price closes the distance and clinches.

Price is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Andersson pushes Price back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Andersson lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Andersson misses with a punch to the body.
Price scores with a shoulder strike.
Andersson scores with a shoulder strike.
Andersson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Price tries to work over Andersson 's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Price is trying to trip Andersson . He has hold of a leg but Andersson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Price persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Andersson has his foot on Price's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Price works his way back into a safe position though.

Price stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Andersson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Price wants to control from the top but Andersson keeps moving.

Price looking to sit in guard and control but Andersson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Price sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Andersson is pressing down on Price's thigh, looking to free his foot. Price is holding on for now.
Andersson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Price does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Price has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Andersson is working away from the top position though.
Andersson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Price keeps working.

Andersson wants to pass the guard but Price is keeping the position.

Price seems keen to control Andersson 's posture.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
