Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ali Amir (ranked 204 p4p, 320 weight class) and Billy Blank (ranked 24 p4p, 42 weight class). Amir's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Mastodon - Gobblers of Dregs. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amir ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blank moves away.
Amir misses with a head kick.
Blank looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Amir takes one on the button.

It looks like Ali Amir has been cut.
Amir tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Blank counters with a straight right hand.
Amir tests Blank's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Blank has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Amir connects with a solid leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Billy Blank has been cut.
Blank closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amir circles away.
Blank throws a series of punches but Amir moves out of range.
Amir swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Blank is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Amir tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Blank's elbow.
Blank has Amir pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Amir manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ali Amir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Blank.

Amir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blank doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blank manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blank is looking to cinch up a triangle. Amir throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Blank's body to avoid the submission. Blank has instead reached around Amir's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Blank arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
