Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bart Cubbedge (ranked 5940 p4p, 3106 weight class) and Tom Korppila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Korppila has chosen Mustasch - The Mauler as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Korppila lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

and Cubbedge counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Korppila has an active guard here but Cubbedge has managed to pass into half guard.
Cubbedge passes the guard and advances to mount!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cubbedge slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Korppila is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Cubbedge off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Korppila drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cubbedge right on the button. Cubbedge goes down! Korppila follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Korppila gets the win via TKO!
