Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24070 p4p, 24020 weight class) and Wala Sapi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 35 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 32 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wala Sapi!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Mibangon feints and as Sapi raises his hands in defense, Mibangon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sapi wants to sweep here but Mibangon controlling him for the moment.
Sapi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sapi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Mibangon is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mibangon seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sapi for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sapi thows a huge punch but Mibangon dodges it nicely.

Mibangon is controlling Sapi's trapped leg to prevent Sapi from advancing to side control.

Sapi seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Sapi is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

and Mibangon counters with a solid body kick.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sapi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mibangon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Mibangon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sapi regains guard immediately.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mibangon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Nice takedown defense from Sapi. No joy for Mibangon on that attempt.

and Sapi makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Mibangon really felt that one!

Mibangon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sapi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sapi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Sapi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sapi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sapi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Wala Sapi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Sapi dives in and grabs Mibangon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mibangon pushes down on Sapi's head and hops out.
Mibangon throws a quick counter kick to the body but Sapi avoids it.
No luck for Sapi with that takedown attempt.
Mibangon shoots in looking for a takedown. Sapi tries to sprawl out of it but Mibangon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sapi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sapi follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

As Sapi looks to move away, Mibangon throws a big counter combo but Sapi just gets out of the way.

Mibangon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Sapi working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mibangon has passed into half guard!
Mibangon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mibangon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sapi keeps working.

Mibangon is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Sapi tries for a takedown but Mibangon circles away easily
and Mibangon counters with a body kick that stops Sapi in his tracks momentarily.
Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wala Sapi.
Sapi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sapi is taking a breather. Mibangon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well Mibangon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
