Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anton Hammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Katze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Anton Hammer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Hammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Karl Katze! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Katze is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hammer's half guard. Hammer trying to hold on to Katze's head to control him but Katze postures up.
Katze throwing shots but Hammer is blocking nicely. Katze throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Katze wants to control but Hammer is keeping him busy. Katze sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hammer defending well though. Katze is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hammer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammer is working hard here to advance position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hammer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Katze is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katze has managed to clinch.
Katze is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Hammer can't fight it off and eventually Katze manages to take the fight to the floor. Hammer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hammer trying to keep a closed guard but Katze is proving a slippery customer.
Katze has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Katze trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Katze postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hammer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Katze, into his guard. Katze wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Hammer wants to control from the top but Katze keeps moving. Katze has his foot on Hammer's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hammer works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Katze is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hammer is aware though and is defending well. Hammer wants to control from the top but Katze keeps moving. Hammer wants to pass the guard but Katze is keeping the position. Katze wants to sweep but no luck. Katze throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Katze looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hammer trying to control the position from guard on top but Katze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammer controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hammer wants to control from the top but Katze keeps moving.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hammer on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Hammer throws a head kick that Katze semi-blocks.
It looks like Karl Katze has been cut. Hammer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Katze tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammer swats him away and circles back towards the center. Katze forces Hammer back against the cage and clinches. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Hammer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Katze is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hammer pulls him back up using the underhooks. Katze turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Katze misses with the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Katze looks gassed! Katze controls the position. Hammer gets back to half guard. Katze is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Katze is looking for a kimura but Hammer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Katze to get the leverage. Katze is trying to control the action in half guard but Hammer is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Katze seems to be working for a kimura but Hammer defends the submission attempt. Katze seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hammer does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Katze is thwarting Hammer's attempts to control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick lands from Hammer that sends Katze to the canvas. Katze tries to scramble back to his feet but Hammer brings him back down into side control.
Katze is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Katze tries to strike but it doesn't land. Katze is still in real trouble! Can Hammer finish him? Katze stops Hammer from passing to mount. Katze seems to have recovered his senses. Katze gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Anton Hammer will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Karl Katze's cut. That's time! Hammer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hammer is trying to break the clinch but Katze has him pressed against the cage. Hammer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Katze moves into the clinch. Katze's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Katze tries to stall but Hammer uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hammer has had enough of the clinch but Katze keeps him there for the moment. Katze avoiding damage.
Hammer is trying to break free. Hammer is pressed up against the cage. Katze has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hammer down to the mat. Hammer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Hammer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Katze rushes Hammer and presses him up against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hammer is trying to break the clinch but Katze is controlling him. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Katze takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hammer tries to break free but Katze pushes him back against the cage. Hammer is trying to break the clinch but Katze is controlling him. Hammer wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Katze gets the takedown into side control. Katze is trying to get an arm triangle but Hammer is defending well. Hammer is trying to improve his position. An elbow from Katze crashes against the mat.
Hammer wants to control but Katze postures up. Katze tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Katze has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Katze working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Katze is working Hammer over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Katze throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Katze working the head with strikes. Katze is trying to get an arm triangle but Hammer is defending well. Katze wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hammer, who protects the arm well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammer is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Katze off and has taken his back! You can see the frustration on Katze's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Hammer doesn't have the hooks in and Katze manages to turn into his guard.

Karl Katze showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Karl Katze's cut. That's time! Hammer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Katze throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hammer sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hammer moves away from the strike by Katze. Katze just misses with a punch to the body.

Katze does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hammer circles away from the clinch attempt.

Anton Hammer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hammer throws the kick towards the body but Katze avoids it. Katze looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Katze trying to control from half guard but Hammer is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammer trying to hold on to Katze's head to control him but Katze postures up.
Katze missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Katze looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hammer is looking to control Katze's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hammer avoid being mounted? Katze is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hammer is just riding it out for now. Katze eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hammer is trying to maintain the position but Katze is very close to passing his half guard. Katze working the head and body with strikes. Katze working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Katze is controlling the pace.
Katze is just content to waste time from the top position. Hammer takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammer keeping full guard, as Katze tries to pass. Katze wants to control from the top but Hammer keeps moving. Katze advances position into side control! Hammer tries to buck Katze off but Katze is having none of it. Katze throws an elbow but Hammer slips to the side and avoids it well. Hammer takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Katze content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Katze wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hammer, who protects the arm well. Katze works to advance to full mount. Hammer defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Hammer is trying desperately to improve position. Hammer tries to hold on but Katze postures up. Karl Katze has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Katze tries to control but Hammer wriggling away.
And that's the end of the fight! Karl Katze comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Katze has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
