Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kaiden Walsh (ranked 2153 p4p, 2038 weight class) and Jeffrey Tucker (ranked 287 p4p, 279 weight class). Jeffrey Tucker told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaiden Walsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffrey Tucker! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walsh lands with an uppercut that bounces Tucker off the cage and back into range. Walsh closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Kaiden Walsh has been cut. Kaiden Walsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Walsh paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Sloppy strikes from Walsh. Those never looked like landing. Tucker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Walsh thows a left - swing and a miss! Tucker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Tucker on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tucker lands a big uppercut and Walsh crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Walsh looks OK. Tucker waves Walsh back to his feet!
Walsh is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Walsh moves away from the strike by Tucker. Oh Walsh is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Tucker misses with the combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tucker scores with a decent looking hook. Walsh looks to throw the jab but Tucker is out of range. Tucker slips a jab from Walsh. Nice defenses there by Tucker. Tucker uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Walsh. Tucker uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Walsh. Tucker is looking for the big counter here. Walsh misses with an uppercut
and Tucker counters with a nice right hand that sends Walsh toppling to the canvas! Walsh scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Tucker finish him?! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A swing and a miss from Walsh. Walsh cracks Tucker with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Walsh has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walsh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tucker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tucker on the wrong end of a nice hook. Tucker is still on wobbly legs! Can Walsh finish him? Walsh measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Tucker! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Kaiden Walsh! During a confident post fight interview, Kaiden Walsh thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
