Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kane Bond (ranked 4283 p4p, 4405 weight class) and Joko Santoso (ranked 0 p4p, 186 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kane Bond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joko Santoso! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santoso misses with a low kick. Santoso shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Bond stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bond wants it to stay on the feet. Bond swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Santoso counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bond won't be happy with that. Santoso thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bond is being controlled here. Santoso has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bond fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bond getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bond scores with a nice strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bond looks to score with a jab to the body but Santoso is just out of range. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Santoso! But no joy. Santoso takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bond jabs Santoso right on the nose. Santoso blinks but takes it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bond connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Santoso's hands. Bond lands a jab. Santoso gets a clinch. Santoso has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bond regains guard immediately. Santoso gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Santoso needs to keep his hands up - Bond had a free shot at his head there. Bond throws a body punch but Santoso moves out of range. Bond cracks Santoso with a right hand to the side of the head. Bond tests Santoso's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bond lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Santoso takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Bond is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bond misses with a wild combination.
Santoso looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Santoso is working for an americana but Bond has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Santoso was thinking about the submission. Santoso is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bond is trying to control the position but Santoso postures up. Bond has momentary wrist control but Santoso slips an elbow through the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santoso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Santoso controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bond working a defensive guard here.
Bond could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Santoso stands and steps away. Bond gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Bond throws a series of punches but Santoso avoids them all with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Santoso misses with a straight left. Santoso shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bond manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Santoso has gone for a leg lock! Bond slips out almost immediately though and dives into Santoso's guard. Santoso looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bond is one step ahead there. Santoso utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bond is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Bond lands a couple of digs. Santoso is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bond is aware though and is defending well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kane Bond will probably get the nod. That's time! Bond's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Bond with a nice cross. Santoso tries a head kick but it misses.
Bond stalks Santoso and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Santoso's face. Santoso staggers backwards, shaken. Santoso walks into a stiff left hand from Bond. Bond ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Santoso moves away. Kane Bond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santoso slips a jab from Bond. Bond changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Bond is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Santoso can do to turn this around? Bond stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bond wants it to stay on the feet. Bond tries to close the distance and clinch but Santoso swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bond works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Kane Bond is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Santoso moves away from the strike by Bond. Bond wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jab from Bond. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bond scores with a decent looking hook. Bond lands a nice looking body shot.
Bond is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Bond misses with a two punch combination.
Santoso tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Kane Bond is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bond lands with a cross. Bond throws a right hand that misses
and Santoso counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Bond! Bond bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santoso gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Santoso pulls guard effortlessly. Santoso controls Bond momentarily but Bond frees himself. Bond throwing strikes from guard but Santoso blocks nicely. Santoso is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Santoso is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santoso has his foot on Bond's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bond works his way back into a safe position though. Joko Santoso has got the better of the ground game so far. Bond passes easily into side control. Nice work. Santoso is looking to reverse the position. Bond landing a few strikes. Santoso misses with a strike from the bottom. Bond wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Santoso, who protects the arm well. Bond lands an elbow. Bond misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Bond working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bond working the ground and pound. Bond working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Santoso is looking for a sweep. Bond lands some shots froms side control. Santoso is looking to regain half guard here but Bond keeps moving and retains side control. Bond creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kane Bond dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Bond lands a glancing blow to the side of Santoso's head. Santoso feints and as Bond raises his hands in defense, Santoso changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Bond throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

and Santoso counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bond won't be happy with that. Bond tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Santoso easily slips into full mount! Bond is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bond sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Bond trying to control but Santoso postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santoso content to control rather than advance. Bond wants to control the action here but instead Santoso manages to pass to full mount! Kane Bond is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santoso sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Let's hope that Santoso has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Bond is squirming around, avoiding Santoso's attempts to control the action. Bond can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Bond reaches up to try and control the position but Santoso seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Bond rolls and tries to escape and now Santoso has his back!
Santoso really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bond. Bond trying to control but not successfully. Bond rolls, trying to escape but Santoso keeps control of the position.
Bond fending off the submission attempt from Santoso. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You can see the frustration on Bond's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
And that's the end of the fight! Joko Santoso comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bond has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
