Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hal Tavowsky (ranked 4353 p4p, 5288 weight class) and Manding Owe (ranked 206 p4p, 224 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hal Tavowsky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manding Owe! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tavowsky dives in and scores a takedown into Owe's guard. Owe is trying to keep Tavowsky in close.
Tavowsky postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Tavowsky is stalling in the full guard. Tavowsky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tavowsky's corner is telling him to maintain position. Owe is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tavowsky throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tavowsky accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tavowsky throws a big right hand that misses. Tavowsky throwing strikes from guard but Owe blocks nicely. Tavowsky seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Owe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tavowsky. Tavowsky content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Owe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Owe keeping moving, preventing Tavowsky from controlling successfully. Tavowsky not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Tavowsky misses the jab. Tavowsky closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Owe looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. With the fighters up against the cage, Owe throws an elbow but misses. Tavowsky misses with an elbow strike.
Owe misses with an elbow over the top. Tavowsky blocks an elbow strike. Tavowsky avoids the elbow strike from Owe, against the cage.
Owe creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Owe throws a head punch that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tavowsky is trying to trip Owe. He has hold of a leg but Owe is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Tavowsky persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Owe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Owe looks winded! Tavowsky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tavowsky engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Tavowsky wants to control from the top but Owe keeps moving. Tavowsky might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Tavowsky loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Tavowsky wants to control from the top but Owe keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Tavowsky pushes Owe up against the cage in a clinch. Tavowsky has hold of one of Owe's legs. Owe is fighting the takedown attempt but Tavowsky gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Tavowsky makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Tavowsky lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Tavowsky working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Owe preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Tavowsky content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Tavowsky stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tavowsky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Owe can do to turn this around? Tavowsky tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Owe misses with an elbow strike.
Tavowsky gets control of Owe's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tavowsky will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Tavowsky working for a triangle but Owe defends it easily.
Tavowsky wants to sweep here but Owe controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tavowsky wants to stand and escape but Owe is having none of it. Tavowsky has his foot on Owe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Owe works his way back into a safe position though. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tavowsky holds on and takes a little breather. Tavowsky pushes Owe off and scrambles back to his feet.
Tavowsky bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Owe is not content to let Tavowsky control the position. Hal Tavowsky overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tavowsky decides to stand back up. Tavowsky steps back and let's Owe get back to his feet. Owe is breathing heavily. Tavowsky fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A little jabbing left from Owe on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tavowsky throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Owe appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Tavowsky takes the fight into the clinch. Tavowsky has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Owe regains guard immediately. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Tavowsky scoring with punches to the head and body. Owe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Owe can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Tavowsky controls the pace. Tavowsky postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Owe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tavowsky throwing strikes but missing. Tavowsky wants to control from the top but Owe keeps moving. Tavowsky distracts Owe with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Tavowsky postures up and lands a big shot to Owe's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tavowsky controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Tavowsky lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Tavowsky here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Tavowsky works over Owe with some ground and pound from guard. Tavowsky throws a big elbow that misses. Tavowsky slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Owe keeping moving, preventing Tavowsky from controlling successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Tavowsky working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Tavowsky engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Tavowsky scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Owe is rocked! The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Owe is still in real trouble! Can Tavowsky finish him? Tavowsky trying to mount his opponent but Owe defends it. Tavowsky wants to work for an arm triangle but Owe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tavowsky winds up and cracks Owe with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Tavowsky decides to stand up. Tavowsky lands an uppercut, right on the button! Owe tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.
