Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yngve Laake! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 15 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Jihadi John ! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! That kick from Laake tenderised John 's leg. John is trying to keep his angry face on. John defending well as Laake loads up on a big left hand. A big left from John misses. Laake avoids the body shot from John .
A head kick misses from John . Laake stalks John and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into John 's face. John staggers backwards, shaken. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! John throws a right hand that misses
and Laake counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. John waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Laake. Laake slips under a jab from John . John misses with a jab to the body
and Laake counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Jihadi John has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. John avoids a punch combination nicely.
Laake turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Laake drops John with a beautiful combination! John stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Laake is looking for the KO!
John is rocked! Laake defending well as John loads up on a big left hand. Laake appears to be looking for a big counter. John is still on wobbly legs! Can Laake finish him? John blocks a head kick by Laake.
John seems to have recovered his senses. Laake looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. John swings for the body but Laake moves out of range.
John looks to score with a jab to the body but Laake is just out of range. Jihadi John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. John throws a hook but Laake blocks it. John has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. A head kick by Laake - that's a beauty! John is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Laake can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Yngve Laake! Yngve Laake seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website. Jihadi John spoke after the fight, saying ' Al Akhbar '.
