Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between 3 Piece Soda (ranked 2146 p4p, 24375 weight class) and Kang Richards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soda kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is 3 Nights. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, 3 Piece Soda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kang Richards! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soda with the inside leg kick. Soda connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Soda scores with a leg kick.
Soda connects with a crisp jab. Good standup being displayed there by Soda as he connects with a hook. Soda lands a jab to Richards's midsection. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Soda. Richards shrugs it off though. Soda bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Soda drops Richards with a left right combo! Soda follows him down to the ground into side control.
Richards is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Soda is looking to take a break and control but Richards is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Richards is still in real trouble! Can Soda finish him? Soda tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Soda moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Richards seems to have recovered his senses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richards can do anything to dispel that myth. Soda trying to control the action but Richards is working from the bottom. Richards takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Soda is looking to take a break and control but Richards is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Soda tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Richards managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Soda.
Soda lands a decent elbow from side control. Soda passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Richards! Poor strikes thrown by Soda there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Soda is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Richards is surviving well by controlling Soda's body position as best he can. Richards is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Richards is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Soda connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Richards is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Soda is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Richards to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Richards shrugs it off. Soda wants to finish this one by submission but Richards is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Soda. Soda landing strikes from the mount and Richards is in trouble! Soda controlling from mount. Soda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Soda can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Richards is looking to escape. Soda thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Soda looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Soda is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Richards is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Richards flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Soda anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Richards and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Soda slips an arm under Richards chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Soda has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Soda is squeezing on Richards like an anaconda would it's prey. Richards fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). 3 Piece Soda! After winning the bout, 3 Piece Soda thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
