Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yakubu Okoroji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dezmond Drake!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okoroji fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

and Drake counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Okoroji is trying hard to land a takedown here. Drake sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Drake throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Okoroji stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Drake has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Okoroji takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Drake fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Okoroji to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Okoroji looks to clinch but Drake throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Okoroji taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Dezmond Drake!
After winning the bout, Dezmond Drake thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
