The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dupont clinches with his opponent.

Dupont jumps guard.

Dupont wriggles free and stands up.
Dupont lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Dupont gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Dupont ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dupont no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Magomedov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Dupont will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magomedov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Magomedov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dupont throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Magomedov drops back looking for a leg! Dupont is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dupont manages to kick Magomedov off! Magomedov jumps back into Dupont's guard.

Dupont thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Dupont manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Dupont jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Magomedov walks away with a smile on his face. Dupont gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Dupont clinches.
Dupont tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Dupont jumps guard and drags Magomedov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Magomedov looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Magomedov passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Dupont throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Dupont told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Magomedov is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
