Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Neal Zemlak (ranked 4294 p4p, 4277 weight class) and Maksim Kuznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Neal Zemlak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maksim Kuznetsov! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuznetsov gets the takedown into side control. Zemlak tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kuznetsov is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Zemlak to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Zemlak shrugs it off. Kuznetsov controlling from the full mount. Zemlak keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kuznetsov is landing with some decent strikes but Zemlak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuznetsov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kuznetsov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Zemlak is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zemlak takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kuznetsov controlling the pace for now. Kuznetsov lands a nice shot to the head. Zemlak is looking to get to half guard. Kuznetsov controlling the pace for now. BOOM! Kuznetsov connects with a massive shot to the dome!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kuznetsov looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Let's hope that Kuznetsov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kuznetsov lands a heavy elbow. Kuznetsov controlling the position easily from mount. It looks like Kuznetsov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kuznetsov raining down hammerfists from mount. Kuznetsov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Zemlak hang on? Kuznetsov lands a heavy elbow. Zemlak knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kuznetsov on the ground. Kuznetsov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Zemlak's face.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Maksim Kuznetsov dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Zemlak misses with a wild body shot. Kuznetsov scores with a takedown into Zemlak's guard. Kuznetsov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kuznetsov with a nice head shot there. Kuznetsov working some strikes from top position. Kuznetsov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kuznetsov tries to stand but Zemlak is controlling from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kuznetsov pushes down on Zemlak's leg and manages to get into half guard. Kuznetsov not doing much here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuznetsov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Maksim Kuznetsov has got the better of the ground game so far. Kuznetsov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kuznetsov working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Zemlak looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kuznetsov! Submission of the night perhaps?
