Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charlie Chaplin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jin Shotokahn! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chaplin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Shotokahn stuffs the takedown attempt from Chaplin. Chaplin gets slowly back to his feet. Shotokahn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice straight punches there by Shotokahn. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Shotokahn. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Chaplin checks a leg kick. Chaplin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Shotokahn looks to land a combination but Chaplin avoids it well. Shotokahn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Shotokahn connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Shotokahn misses with the combination.
Chaplin shoots in for a takedown but Shotokahn shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Charlie Chaplin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shotokahn throws a right and a left that both miss. Chaplin takes a body punch but keeps moving. Chaplin is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shotokahn looks to land a combination. Chaplin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Jin Shotokahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shotokahn scores with a jab to the jaw. Shotokahn lands with a kick to the temple. Chaplin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Chaplin is rocked! Shotokahn scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chaplin in his tracks. Oh Chaplin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Chaplin blocks the body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shotokahn throws an overhand right that drops Chaplin like a sack of potatoes! Shotokahn dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
