The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Clay takes the fight into the clinch.

Epharez wants the takedown. Clay is fighting it off but Epharez persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Clay's guard against the cage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Clay is on top in guard.

Epharez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Epharez tries to get out of the position.
Epharez has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Clay has passed into side control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clay is looking to take a break and control but Epharez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Epharez bucks up and tries to throw Clay off but instead Clay has got his back!

Clay is working for a rear naked choke. Epharez is not defending it well and Clay has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Epharez refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Epharez's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
