Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Athelstan Athelstan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vasily Utkin!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Athelstan.
A countering left hand to the body from Utkin misses.
Athelstan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Athelstan looks to throw the jab but Utkin is out of range.
Athelstan lands a jab to the nose.
Utkin tries to close the distance and clinch but Athelstan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Utkin.
Athelstan throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Utkin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Utkin fails with the takedown
and Athelstan counters with a big right hand! Oh Utkin is in trouble here! Athelstan follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
