Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Thornton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Time To Fight Wright! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thornton stuffs the takedown attempt from Wright. Wright gets slowly back to his feet. Time To Fight Wright seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wright lunges at Thornton with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Thornton's hand. Thornton takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Wright smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Wright scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Wright circles away from the clinch attempt.

Thornton tries to lock up and control but Wright gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wright content just to control the position here. Wright scores with a crisp jab that stopped Thornton in his tracks. Wright fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Thornton to the ground. Wright is now in Thornton's guard. Wright content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Thornton can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Wright controls the pace. Wright is pushing down on Thornton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thornton is fighting to maintain full guard but Wright has managed to sneak the leg through. Wright throwing shots but Thornton is blocking nicely. Wright has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wright with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thornton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wright is working away from the top position though. Time To Fight Wright showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! Nice defenses there by Wright. Wright with a jab. Thornton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Wright slips a straight right by Thornton. Wright is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Wright drives through with a takedown into guard.
