Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 24096 p4p, 24131 weight class) and Tapad Amiga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 39 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 43 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bitok manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Amiga on his heels. He'll look to pass Amiga's guard now, I'm sure.
Bitok's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Amiga has his hands on Bitok's head, controlling the position.
Bitok is stalling in the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bitok throwing strikes but missing.

Bitok controlling from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Amiga is pulling down on Bitok's head. It's preventing any offense from Bitok, at least for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Bitok fails with a takedown attempt.
Amiga replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Bitok blocks it well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bitok.
Bitok takes a little break here. Amiga wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Amiga striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

Amiga struggling a bit here.
Bitok controlling the position from side mount.
Amiga tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bitok wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bitok trying to control the position but Amiga is working away.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Amiga fails to land the takedown.
It appears Bitok was looking to counter with a kick there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nice takedown defense from Bitok. No joy for Amiga on that attempt.
Bitok quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Kulata Bitok dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bitok scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Amiga wants to control but Bitok postures up.
Amiga tries to bench press Bitok off him but Bitok keeps the position.
Who's going to make the next move?
You can see the frustration on Amiga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Amiga holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bitok wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amiga keeps working.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bitok tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Amiga defends well and Bitok ends up having to push Amiga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bitok prevents a takedown attempt there.

Bitok lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bitok is trying to control. Amiga wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bitok is taking a breather. Amiga says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Amiga controlling the position for now.

Amiga is looking to control Bitok's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amiga avoid being mounted?
Bitok is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Bitok shoots for a double leg takedown but Amiga sprawls well. He's pushed Bitok's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Bitok drives through with a takedown into Amiga's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Bitok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Amiga counters with a body kick.
Bitok moves out of range as Amiga throws a body kick.
Amiga shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Bitok pinned against the cage. Bitok gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Horrible takedown attempt by Amiga or perhaps it was just good defense by Bitok, which made it look bad.
Bitok thinks about countering with a head kick.
Amiga shoots in looking for a takedown. Bitok tries to sprawl out of it but Amiga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bitok manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bitok fails with a takedown attempt.
Amiga throws the kick towards the body but Bitok avoids it.
Bitok lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Amiga fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bitok avoids it really well and circles away.
Bitok thinks about countering with a body kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bitok gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Amiga counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Bitok thinking.
Tapad Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kulata Bitok is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bitok feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kulata Bitok showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bitok, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
