PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trayvon Lewis (ranked 785 p4p, 1012 weight class) and Kealin Bishop (ranked 106 p4p, 139 weight class). Bishop comes into a darkened arena with his song building. HonestKey- When I Wake Up kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Trayvon Lewis!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kealin Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop gets off balance looking for a body kick

and Lewis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Bishop looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bishop wants to control the position but Lewis says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lewis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bishop stacks Lewis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bishop!

We've been hearing that Lewis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
