PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ulysses Corbin (ranked 3149 p4p, 2149 weight class) and Cole Steel (ranked 415 p4p, 312 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ulysses Corbin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ulysses Corbin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ulysses Corbin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Cole Steel!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a hook but Corbin blocks it.
Steel takes a swing at Corbin's ribcage but misses.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Corbin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Steel, as that shot connected.
Steel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Steel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Corbin.
Steel thows a left - swing and a miss!
Corbin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Corbin misses the shot to the body.
Steel tries to bum rush Corbin with a series of wild strikes but Corbin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Steel felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
