Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Leaf (ranked 3706 p4p, 2784 weight class) and Dodong Janjan (ranked 301 p4p, 236 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Leaf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dodong Janjan!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janjan swings for the body but Leaf moves out of range.
Janjan fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Leaf gets caught napping as Janjan dives in and scores a takedown. Leaf manages to retain guard.
Janjan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Leaf is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Janjan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Leaf is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Janjan works over Leaf with some ground and pound from guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Leaf wants to control but Janjan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Janjan slips a nice elbow through Leaf's hands, connecting with Leaf's forehead.

Janjan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Janjan lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Leaf quite badly. Leaf pulls Janjan in close trying to recover. Janjan postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Leaf on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Leaf doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dodong Janjan!
Dodong Janjan decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
