Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Markel Hamilton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Jelsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jelsky has chosen Stronger as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Andrew Jelsky told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Markel Hamilton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Jelsky! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jelsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Hamilton knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jelsky on the ground. Hamilton is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Jelsky stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Hamilton misses with a hook. Jelsky ducked under it nicely. Jelsky bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jelsky looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jelsky is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hamilton defends it well. Jelsky is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hamilton is just riding it out for now. Jelsky eventually gives up the hold. Hamilton pushes Jelsky off looking to stand but Jelsky dives back in and keeps control.

Jelsky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hamilton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jelsky. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Jelsky looks gassed!

Hamilton might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jelsky is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hamilton is just riding it out for now. Jelsky eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hamilton tries to kick Jelsky off but Jelsky keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Jelsky is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hamilton with a hook. Hamilton scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Hamilton works over Jelsky's head and body with a nice combination. Jelsky closes the distance and clinches up with Hamilton, looking for a takedown. Jelsky pushes Hamilton against the cage but Hamilton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Jelsky is looking to clinch. Jelsky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hamilton could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hamilton tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Jelsky patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Jelsky working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Hamilton defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jelsky has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Jelsky is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Hamilton has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Jelsky looking for the choke from the back. Hamilton manages to escape to his feet. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Jelsky fails with the takedown. Jelsky shoots in for a takedown but Hamilton shows good takedown defense. Markel Hamilton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andrew Jelsky. Jelsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jelsky is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jelsky is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Hamilton has managed to free his arm - good work. Hamilton scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Jelsky manages to mount him!
Jelsky is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Jelsky!
