Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ezekiel Carter (ranked 4255 p4p, 4605 weight class) and Kebab Mabab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kebab Mabab!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and William Peck.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Carter tries for a takedown but Mabab sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Mabab closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Carter tries to kick Mabab off but Mabab keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Mabab wants to take a breather but Carter is having none of it.
Mabab missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Mabab seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Carter is looking to improve his position.
Mabab has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Mabab is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Mabab seems content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mabab is looking for a kimura here.
Carter missing with punches from the bottom.
Carter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mabab on the ground.

Mabab lands with a punch from half guard.
Carter is trying is best to control the position here.
Mabab slips a nice elbow through Carter's hands, connecting with Carter's forehead.

Carter is defending against the submission attempts here by Mabab.
Carter tries to roll over but Mabab keeps him under control.

Mabab is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Carter defends it well.
Carter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Mabab throws an elbow that misses. Carter uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mabab's guard. Nice move by Carter!

Mabab is pulling down on Carter's head. It's preventing any offense from Carter, at least for the moment.
Mabab manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carter manages to get himself to full guard.

Mabab makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mabab is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Carter is rocked!

Mabab is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Oh Carter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mabab loads up on a big left hand. Carter felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Mabab looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Carter can't hide his disappointment, as Mabab celebrates the victory.
