Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kane Pawelek (ranked 5227 p4p, 4819 weight class) and Ahmad Syaiful (ranked 547 p4p, 530 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kane Pawelek! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ahmad Syaiful! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Syaiful uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pawelek. Pawelek moves out of range of the strikes. Syaiful's coach down at Champion Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Syaiful's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Syaiful gets tackled into the cage by Pawelek. Pawelek maintains the clinch. Syaiful lands a shoulder strike. Syaiful is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Syaiful lands a shoulder strike. Syaiful effectively controlling the action here. Syaiful throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Paweleks head. Pawelek misses with some punches.
Pawelek keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Syaiful's efforts to push away. Pawelek displaying some good clinch control by pressing Syaiful up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pawelek lands with a left to the head. Pawelek's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Pawelek tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawelek throws a head punch that misses. Syaiful scores with a shoulder strike. A head punch blocked on the inside by Syaiful. Syaiful pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pawelek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Syaiful paws at him with a jab and circles away. Syaiful avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pawelek takes the fight into the clinch. Pawelek working some nice short punches in the clinch. Pawelek throws a punch but it's blocked by Syaiful. Syaiful blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Syaiful breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
No joy there for Pawelek, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Pawelek looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Syaiful connects with a body shot. Syaiful swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Pawelek appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Pawelek lands a two punch combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Syaiful missing with a left hand there. Pawelek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Syaiful, as that shot connected.
Pawelek takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Syaiful connects with a looping right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Syaiful is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Pawelek. Pawelek tries to clinch up but Syaiful circles away and keeps his distance. Syaiful slips a jab from Pawelek. Syaiful looks to land a combination but Pawelek avoids it well. Syaiful swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Pawelek. Jab, jab by Syaiful - just one landing. Pawelek misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Syaiful uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pawelek.
Pawelek fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pawelek on the wrong end of a nice hook. Pawelek throws a right hand that Syaiful ducks under and follows up with a left that Syaiful also avoids with ease. Pawelek is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Pawelek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Syaiful paws at him with a jab and circles away. Syaiful misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pawelek.

Pawelek throws out a token jab with nothing on it. A lazy left from Syaiful finds it's target. Syaiful connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Syaiful lands a really nice looking cross but Pawelek seems unphased.
Pawelek is rocked! Syaiful cracks Pawelek with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Oh Pawelek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Pawelek tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pawelek gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Syaiful gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Pawelek is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ahmad Syaiful!
