Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremey Young (ranked 3277 p4p, 2689 weight class) and Joel Kemp (ranked 368 p4p, 306 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeremey Young! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joel Kemp! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kemp shoots in but no luck this time. Young clinches up against the cage. Kemp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Young. Kemp shoots in for a takedown but Young shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Young misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Young fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kemp throws a counter combo. Young gets tackled into the cage by Kemp. Kemp maintains the clinch. Young displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kemp up against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Young blocks the elbow strike.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kemp gets underhooks to prevent Young's takedown attempt.
Kemp ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kemp no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kemp is looking to stand up but Young isn't so interested in that idea. We've been hearing good reports from Young's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Young is looking to stand up but Kemp won't let him. Young trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Young throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kemp works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kemp is pulling down on Young's head to control his posture. Young stands up from guard. Let's bang! Some wild striking there from Kemp.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kemp fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Jeremey Young has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joel Kemp. Young misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kemp stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kemp wants it to stay on the feet. Young clinches up with Kemp and pushes him back against the cage. Kemp holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Kemp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Young rushes Kemp and presses him up against the cage. Kemp slows down the pace here.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Young could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kemp gets control of Young's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kemp will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kemp avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kemp working for a triangle but Young defends it easily.

Young trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kemp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kemp has his foot on Young's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Young works his way back into a safe position though. Young trying to control the position from guard on top but Kemp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kemp has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Young has passed into side control.
Young trying to control the action but Kemp is working from the bottom. Young prevents Kemp from escaping the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kemp can't do much from the bottom here. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jeremey Young will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Young throws a head kick but Kemp moves out of range.
And Kemp tries to counter it with a takedown but Young pushes his down on his head and steps out. Young looks for a takedown but Kemp sprawls well. Kemp misses with a takedown attempt - Young sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Young throws a right hand that Kemp ducks under and follows up with a left that Kemp also avoids with ease. Young shoots in but Kemp avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kemp defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Young. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremey Young. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Young is defended easily by Kemp. Kemp feints the counter takedown. Kemp displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Young.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kemp clinches up with Young and pushes him back against the cage. Kemp breaks the clinch.
Young doesn't manage to clinch there - Kemp circles away.
Young fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Kemp throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Young is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
