The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. A momentary lapse in concentration from Zan enables Ziyaeddin to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Zan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Ziyaeddin (2) vs (0) Zan Ziyaeddin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Zan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ziyaeddin is taking a breather. Zan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Zan wants to improve his position but Ziyaeddin is controlling well.
